Mother Mary: Our Model of Suffering and Trust

Mother Mary: Our Model of Suffering and Trust

She stood at the foot of the Cross, watching her Son’s agony, her heart pierced with sorrow. Yet, Mary did not turn away. She bore her suffering with trust—not because she understood, but because she believed.

Mary teaches us that trust is not the absence of pain but the choice to remain faithful within it. She shows us that suffering, when surrendered to God, is not meaningless. It becomes a path to grace.

When we face our own crosses, do we trust that God is still working, even in the silence? Do we, like Mary, place our suffering in His hands, believing He can bring beauty from even the deepest sorrow?

This week, let’s walk with Mary and learn from her trust. Where is God asking us to trust Him more? How can we offer our suffering to Him, as she did?
