In The Beginning
My mom was battling cancer. All words and actions of encouragement failed to penetrate through. We watched her racked with anxiety as she tried to go through the stages of grief by herself.
How can we offer her comfort?
How do we bring Jesus, the Divine Physician, to her?
All I could give was a hug, praying she will cling onto God.
A simple hug conveys volumes and transform hearts. Hence, the journey to create huggable Catholic plushies commenced.
I will instruct you and show you the way you should walk, give you counsel with my eye upon you. (Psalm 32:8)
Following the Good Shepherd
Our plushies resonated with children. Jesus and the saints played with them in the day, and guarded them every night as they slept.
It helped families to pray together.
Fuelled by the desire to share the Good News and after careful discernment, Little Flock (Singapore) became a small business centred on Kingdom-mindedness.
As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace. (1 Peter 4:10)
Our Beliefs
Prayer, evangelisation and love for God and neighbour form the very core of Little Flock.
Above that, we recognise we are merely stewards. We have to use the resources that God entrusted in a wise and responsible manner.
10% of our profits also go towards supporting the poor and needy. The causes we support are updated frequently, reflecting the complex and varied needs of the Church today.
Wherever possible, we reduce waste to care for the environment and opt for suppliers that offer fair wages and healthy working conditions.
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour. (Luke 1:46-47)
Our Patron Saint: Mary, Star of the New Evangelisation
Little Flock is consecrated to Mary, Star of the New Evangelisation.
We aim to follow her in daily gestures of love and service. In praying the rosary, we discern the path that He shows us. We also ask to be strengthened with the graces to reject the temptations of immediate profit.
What is the New Evangelisation?
The New Evangelisation is directed principally at those who, though baptised, have drifted away from the Church and live without the Christian faith.
St. John Paul II said that we need new ardour, methods and expressions in the way we help them re-encounter the Lord, who alone fills our existence with deep meaning and peace; and to favour the rediscovery of the faith.
