The Passion’s Path, Week 3: Simon of Cyrene
Simon of Cyrene didn’t seek to carry the cross—he was forced into it. And yet, in that moment, he shared in Christ’s suffering and became part of the greatest act of love.
Service is often unexpected. It disrupts our plans, demands sacrifice, and calls us beyond ourselves. But true service is love in action. It is found in the unnoticed tasks, the unseen sacrifices, the moments when we set aside our comfort for the sake of another.
This Lent, let’s embrace service not as an obligation, but as a gift—an opportunity to love as Christ loved. Who is God calling you to serve today?
🔹 Do I accept my own struggles with faith, trusting that God is at work even in suffering?
🔹 Am I attentive to those around me who are weighed down by their own crosses?
🔹 How can I be like Simon—lifting another’s burden, even when it’s unexpected or inconvenient?
